Card Set

I love creating card sets! This month, I made a set using my Gossamer Blue kits. They came together really easily. I decided to go with a similar design for each card and it made the process a breeze! I started each card with a cream colored card base. Then, I selected three journaling cards from Crate's Open Road line. Finally, I picked out die cuts from Fancy Pants and stickers from Pink Paislee and arranged them onto the journaling cards. The large Heidi Swapp words were the perfect finishing touch. Here's how they turned out:

I really love how they turned out! Thanks so much for stopping by. :)

Pastels and Sunshine

Another week has flown by. I just want to make time stop! I love summer so much. My daily routine has been to hit the gym at 6 am, stop at the grocery store if needed and then come home. I love getting things done early so I can relax the rest of the day. Ahhhhhh.....

Here are my two spreads for this week. I went with pastels in my Aqua Saffiano and love how it turned out.

Crate Summer Album

Last summer we did a TON of traveling. This year, we are staying closer to home, but are still going to be doing lots of fun things. My Project Life album documents a lot of the details, but I wanted to make a mini that housed a collection of photos showing the different things we have done this summer. Using the premade Open Road accordian album from Crate was just right.

Here is what I have so far:

It's not secret that I love all things chipboard! There were so many fun elements to choose for my front cover. I also love tags and doilies so I added them on for the background.

Visiting the stadium to see our local baseball team is something we've really enjoyed doing this summer.

On Father's Day, we visited Fort Delaware, a local historical attraction. I have to admit I wasn't exactly thrilled to go, but I was pleasantly surprised. We had a fun day!

One of the highlights so far has been our trip to Hershey park with the whole family. Ryan loved spending the day with his cousins.

When we aren't out doing day trips, we have been spending time at the pool.

Lucky for us, we are close enough to the beach to go for the day. Here, Ryan and his buddy and I spent a delightful day in Lewes, DE.

There are several pages left and I definitely plan on filling them up!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. :)

Flip Flops and Doxies

Summer is going strong and I'm loving the free time my summer vacation brings. Being a teacher is a VERY hard job, but my time off in the summer is worth it!

Here are the spreads I created this week. Last week, someone asked how many Filofaxes I use at once. The answer is two. One is my personal calendar that I carry with me everywhere. The other stays on my scrapping table and is used to plan my DT assignments, keep track of what I do each day so I can document it in my PL, holds PL sketches, lists photos I want to use, etc. In other words, it's my scrapbooking and Project Life manager. I do rotate through the planners though depending on my mood and the colors of my spreads. Some people collect shoes and wear new ones each day. I prefer to collect Filofaxes. :)

In my Poppy Saffiano this week, I went with a fun summer theme. Echo Park's Summer Bliss collection has the perfect stickers and PL cards for decorating this theme. BTW, I'm loving my Saffiano. Even though it's not real leather, it has a great texture and the color is so fun!

Also, I found the Becky Higgins page markers on clearance at Michael's for 2.99! I cut them down and they work perfectly here.

Striped Washi- Studio Calico kit
Thin Washi- Ebay
Chevron Washi- Bella Blvd.
Page Marker- Becky Higgins

On to my Yellow Finsbury. I must really love this planner, too, because I find myself coming back to it over and over. Especially in the summer. Must be the color! I had recently gotten the cute Doxie clip and thought he'd look cute with these stickers I'd gotten a while ago. While I'm definitely more of a cat person, I'm loving these little pups this week.

Orange Washi- Studio Calico
Blue Washi- My Mind's Eye
Day of the Week Washi- Studio Calico kit
Page Marker- Becky Higgins
Card- Gossamer Blue kit
Doxie Stickers- Darice Dollar Pad (Michael's)
Puffy Stickers- AC Moore

Well, that's all for this week. Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

July 2014 Gossamer Blue Spreads

July's Gossamer blue kits were a lot of fun to work with this month. The primary colors are perfect for summer spreads, 4th of July pictures, pool pictures, etc. I, however, am still trying to catch up. I'm still finishing my spreads from this past spring. (My goal for the summer is to catch up...) Anyway, here are the pages that I made using the kits.

I love this 'Here I Stand' card. Isn't the font fun? The little tag and pocket, along with the circle die cuts are from this month's printables.

The mix of Gossamer Blue exclusives, Pink Paislee goodies and Crate Paper products worked together perfectly on these spreads.

I think this blue and white striped card was my favorite of all!

Be sure to check out the Gossamer Blue kits this month! You can see all of them here in the Gossamer Blue store.

Thanks for stopping by. :)

Summer Fun and the 4th of July

I am really loving my summer schedule. I worked two hours this week, HA! Life is rough sitting around the pool, scrapping, visiting friends at the beach and decorating my Filofaxes!  I hope August doesn't get here any time soon.

A couple of weeks ago, someone commented one of my photos that they were 'cute but wouldn't give her enough room to write.' Luckily for me, I have more than enough space. I write small to begin with, but  I also use the other sections in my planner to write more. I jot down a few important things on the WO2P pages that I post. Also, I often photograph them at the beginning of the week, so you don't end up seeing all I add. The great thing about sharing planner pages online is that we can see all of the ways that people use them to fit their personal needs! I love how these fit mine. ;)

This week, I wanted to share a couple of week's worth of pages to get all caught up here on the blog. My first spread was in my Pink Classic a couple of weeks ago. I used a lot of Doodlebug's Sugar Shoppe and Springtime lines on here. I know I've said it before, but Doodlebug has the CUTEST stuff for my Filofaxes.

Cupcake and Striped Washi- Sugar Shop by Doodlebug
Border Stickers- Sugar Shop by Doodlebug
Sticker on Card- Springtime by Doodlebug
Paper for Card- Springtime by Doodlebug

Here is a recent spread in my Aqua Saffiano. This one uses a lot of Echo Park goodies. They are the other scrapbook company that makes products that I love using in my planner.

Yellow Polka Dot Washi- Doodlebug
Pink Polka Dot Washi- My Mind's Eye

Of course I had to go with my brand new Poppy Metropol this week for the 4th of July. I was so excited to use it. I really love it.

Thin Washi- Ebay
Light Blue Washi- Queen and Company
Die Cuts- Pebbles
Stickers- Pebbles
Card- Gossamer Blue July Life's Pages kit

This week's final spread celebrates my favorite thing of all - Summer!!! I'm using my Yellow Finsbury this week because I love how the colors go together. :)

Yellow Washi- Bella Blvd.
Red Washi- Studio Calico
Journaling Card- Echo Park Summer Adventures

So, that's all for today. I'm all caught up! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. :)
