Label Tulip Challenge

I'm finally posting my last project using the fun Label Tulip May kit. This was the layout I did for May's challenge. The challenge was to scrap something about yourself that not too many people know. I procrastinate. Anything that I don't enjoy doing will be put off until the last minute. I like to think I work best under pressure.

I used Cosmo Cricket, October Afternoon and Sassafrass Lass on this one.

Now for the fun part. You, too, can join in on the challenge. All of the info. is on this thread at Label Tulip. Just scrap something that not too many people know about YOU. Upload it to the Label Tulip gallery and link it to the challenge thread. You'll be entered for a chance to win this fun prize:

So, that's it for today. Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Raspberry Suite and 2S4Y

A funny thing happened on my way to completing these challenges! I started off this card using Dawn's color challenge and Kazan's sketch.

Well, the card didn't really end up resembling the sketch, so I figured I'd just use it for Dawn's challenge. So, I went back and looked at her blog again and I realized I totally forgot to add the Ripe Avocado. Hee hee! So, it ended up not working for either challenge! But, I like how it turned out, so I decided to just make another card to use for them.

Here's the first card:

I used PTI Damask Design stamps along with Raspberry Fizz paper and ribbon and Spring Moss paper.

Here is my card that actually fit the challenges. I liked the white background, so I kept that.

I used the same papers as the above card. The sentiment is PTI Mega Mixed Messages.
Both cards use Zva crystals that I colored with my Copic markers. I love how I can change the colors of them so easily. I definitely need to invest in some more markers. ;)

Well, thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

PTI May Blog Hop

First, Happy Memorial Day! I hope all of my American friends are enjoying the first 'unofficial' day of summer. But mostly, I hope you're all remembering our service men and women today. I always think of my dad and what he went through in Korea. I thank God that we have people protecting us and pray that they will come home safely. Most of all, I think of all of those who have lost loved ones in the service. Saying thank you just seems so insignificant in comparison to their sacrifice.

Well, I'm so excited to be a part of Papertrey Ink's May blog hop! I've been wanting to do this the past couple of months and finally found some time to join in on the fun! This month's challenge was to incorporate yellow into a card. So, I used Lemon Tart mixed with Spring Moss. I love the softness of the two colors. The stamps are from the Beyond Basics border set and Mega Mixed Messages. I added a piece of vintage ric rac and some Zva flowers along with PTI buttons and twine. The inking was done with the new tea stain in Chamomile. I've been adding it to everything!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Memorial Day Weekend

So many of our friends are out of town at the beach this weekend. Not us! Too much traffic and crowds. We are just enjoying a few nice, lazy days at home. It's sunny, warm and it really does feel like summer. The grill has been getting a good workout already. :)

I have a couple of cards to share with you today. I made these with the Label Tulip kits this month.

This first one uses some Jillybean Soup papers and Sassafrass Lass felties. Aren't they adorable?

This next one uses Sassafrass Lass chipboard, flowers and the packaging from the felt guys.

That's it for today. Have a great weekend!

2S4Y and Raspbery Suite Challenges

Things have definitely started calming down. The final countdown has begun for school and it's really feeling like summer around here, now. I'm so glad that I had the chance to do two of my favorite challenges this week. This card is based on Laura's 2S4Y sketch and Dawn's Raspberry Suite color challenge. I love the combo she picked!

Here is my take on it.

I used PTI cardstock and Bitty Dot paper. The buttons and ribbon are also PTI as are the stamps. I used Guidelines 2 and Text Messages. I created the border on the right with one of the Guidelines stamps. The gems are Zva. I finished the card and realized I forgot to add a sentiment. But, I decided I like it as is and will just stamp it on the inside later. ;)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day.

A New Week!

Yay! Last week is over. It was a crazy one! I was sooo busy and just felt like I was constantly having to get somewhere, finish something or get ready for something else. Don't you just love when you get a week like that behind you? To top it off, I've been having some neck/back pain and it just makes everything that much harder to do. But, I went to a spine doctor, got some good meds and they finally seem to be kicking in. I start PT on Monday. So, I'm looking forward to this being a better week. ;)

Here is my project for Emma's this week. I just love how it turned out. Our challenge was to use rubons. I use a whole bunch of Pink Paislee Enchanted ones. I just love that line. I added a lot of BG Porcelain, too. You can check out the Emma's blog to see the other adorable projects!

The Label Tulip kit reveal was on Friday night. Boy, are there some amazing creations in the DT gallery. The main kit is sold out, but the add ons are available. The Little Bitty Pretty One is fabulous!!!

Here are a couple of my projects from this month's kit.
This first page is all about how grateful I am to have had 6 Autumns with Ryan at home. I have loved being a stay at home mom and being with him during this beautiful time of year. He starts school full day in August (sniff, sniff :( ) and I'll be heading back to work. So, this layout is a reminder of the special times we've had.

This next page cracks me up. It's about how he's now making signs when he's mad at me! I had told him we couldn't go to Mc Donald's one day. Of course he argues and asks why a million time. Finally out of frustration I told him "Because I said so!" So, the sign on the bottom is what greeted me when I came out of the shower...

I'll post the rest of my LT projects later in the week.
In the meantime, thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day. :)

Springtime Colors

We've had a few wonderful spring days lately. I love it! One of the best parts has been sitting at the baseball field watching Ryan play T-Ball. It's so funny! This is his first time with it and I think he really likes it. Out of all the sports he's played so far, this one is my favorite. Maybe it's because he looks so cute in his huge oversized shirt. Or maybe it's because the kids look so cute in the field, tracing stuff in the dirt while the other team hits. I don't know. ;)

Anyway, over at Emma's this week, we have a fun challenge going on. The colors are so springy and pretty. You'll have to check out the blog to see it. Here is my interpretation. I did a trifold card. I gave it to my mom for Mother's Day, but it doesn't have to be a Mother's Day card. ;)

I used some Melissa Frances, K and Co. and My Mind's Eye papers, MF die cuts, BG chipboard and Prima flowers.

This next little springy project was in 225 Cards and Gifts. I just got it back in the mail and it's hanging in the kitchen. I got the tin in the clearance aisle at AC Moore! I did another one like it for the Fall.

Everything on here is Webster's, except the ribbon which is SEI. ;)

That's it for this morning. This is a crazy week for me. The semester is winding down, I'm running Ryan everywhere these days and I'm trying to finish up my Label Tulip stuff. Check out the LT site on Friday, the 15th to see the new DT gallery and the kit. It's AWESOME!! Unfortunately, I don't have any sneaks to share (I'm aiming to get my projects in right on time :) ), but you can see some HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE
Yummy stuff, I tell you!

Have a great day!!

New Websters

I hope you had as wonderful Mother's Day as I did. I got the sweetest little handmade project and card. And my little buddy went out and picked some tulips for me. I love it!

I have a couple of new layouts to share. These both use the new Webster's lines. This first page is from the Magical Wishes collection. The page is about my red velvet cupcake that I got on my birthday. I handcut some of the vellum paper to use as accents. I think it looks pretty cool against the black. The flowers and crystals on here are Zva. Aren't those red flowers cool??

This next page is from the A Sweet Life line. When I saw these papers I knew that my berry picking photos would be perfect with them. The flowers and crystals are also Zva!

Both pages have the new letter stickers and some of the image stickers, too. I love the letter ones, especially since they come in two sizes. You can see all of the new products HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Congrats!! I'll be sending your goodies out ASAP. ;)

Just wanted to share this last project that uses Bo Bunny products. It was the one I did for Emma's this past week. I decided to get out my Scor-Pal. Every time I use it, I'm reminded of all of the fun things I can make with it. One of the best things about Scor-Pal is their website. There are tons of tutorials on how to use it. You can make cards, envelopes, boxes, ornaments, etc. The directions are clear and the projects almost make themselves.

Since Mother's Day is coming up, I decided to make this project for my mother-in-law. With 8 grandchildren, she certainly could always use something to keep their photos tucked in her purse. This wallet photo folder set is perfect for her. I created the wallet using the directions found HERE. Like I said, the directions are clear and make the assembly really easy.

I also created a card to go with it. I love the interactive cards and there are tutorials for several of them at the Scor-Pal website. Here is the one that I chose to make. It's called a Layered Folds card.

I printed the sentiment and added it to the inside of the card.

The Scor-Pal, along with the wonderful directions at the site made this a really quick and easy gift to put together!

I think she'll really like it!

Well, for all of you Mothers out there, have a blessed and relaxing Mother's Day. I hope you spend it with the ones you love most.

Still Hoppin' At the Love Shack

Well, here are another couple of projects that I did for my GDT gig with Bo Bunny. I normally don't like doing mini-albums, but this one was so fun to put together. I used one of their acrylic albums. The pages are so fun since they are all different shapes and sizes. I used pictures from our trip to Sea Isle last September. I need to force myself to do more minis, since I always love how they turn out.

This next project uses one of the tins that the buttons came in. They are magnetic and would look really cute on a magnetic board in a scraproom. Here's the before shot.

Well, I did't have any place to attach it to in my room, so I decided to take out the buttons and create a little project with it. I made this for my mom for Mother's Day. The crystals and flowers are Zva. I think it would be fun to open the lid and change the photo when you want to.

Don't forget that I have a little giveaway going on for some Love Shack goodies. Leave a comment by Thursday at midnight to be entered. I'll post the winner on Friday. (You can see the goods in the post below.)

Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for your sweet comments. They are so appreciated!
