Polish Water Ice

Well, another week has gotten past me without my updating the blog. BUT, I had all good intentions! I was actually set to post something on Wednesday, but a little thing called Strep got in the way. I've been so sick! Laying in bed with your throat on fire, glands swolen and burning up with 103 temperature is NO fun. Luckily, I got some antibiotics last night and it's amazing how much better I feel. So, of course, I had to jump on here to update things, LOL.

Here's the final page I did for my Greatest View GDT gig. I love this picture. We were in Sea Isle on Labor Day weekend and the kids all decided to get Polish Water Ice right after we had a huge breakfast. Fran wasn't there, but he would have freaked over the amount of sugar Ryan was eating. (He'd had chocolate pancakes for b'fast).  I was the bad mom and let him go for it. Hey, we were on vacation, right?

I used a couple of the glassine bags on here. I layered this one under the photo.
This one was decorated with badges and sequins and serves to hold my journaling tag.
I also used a bunch of Elle's Studio tags on here.
My next project is a little tag booklet that I made using Webster's Wonderfall line. I love being able to go back and revisit some of my old favorite lines.
I paired the papers with some of my Kelly Purkey fall stamps.
Some of the tags were embossed with my Cuttlebug embossing folders.

Just a fun little reminder of how thankful I am to have such a loving family. :)

So, that's all for today. I'm off to gargle with some salt water.
Thanks for stopping by!

Greatest View GDT, Continued

Well, it's finally the weekend. Yay! Time definitely flew by this week. :) Today is officially the first day of Fall. So, there's no denying it now. I'm still mourning summer, but I will also embrace all of my favorite fall traditions, too.

To start off, I have a card that I made for the Greatest View blog. I used one of their mini glassine bags and filled it with sequins. Then, I added one of the triangle badges and layered it onto a mini doily. (aren't they cute???) The stamps are Kelly Purkey's from Simon Says Stamps and they are my current favorites right now!

This next project shows where I love to be the most. Can you gues??? LOL
In this picture, I'm sitting on Myrtle Beach (reading 50 Shades!). I layered some vellum, a tag, a glassine envelope and the cloud transparency around the photo.
I added glass glitter to my Thickers to create the title.
Then, I added several badges to the page, layering them on those mini doilies, again.
Here are the products I used in these two projects. If you haven't checked out The Greatest View, definitely do. Not only does Gail have adorable embellishments, but her DT is great and there is always tons of inspiration on the blog!

Well, that's it for today. I hope you have a great weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Greatest View

Yay! I'm posting for the second time in three days. I think I'm back on track. ;)

Recently, I was invited to be the guest designer at The Greatest View blog. I was thrilled, as I love Gail's store and her adorable embellishments.
So, today, my feature is up along with a couple of projects.

Here is one of the layouts that I made:

I love this photo of Fran, Ryan and our friends on our Myrtle Beach trip.

I added some clear sequins to the background for shine and to make it look like water drops.
The speech bubble badges were perfect for the photo. I backed them with a diecut cut from my Silhouette.
And I know you've seen these woodgrain thickers because I've been using them on everything. I adore them.

And don't forget to pop into the store. You'll be able to find these two items that I used on my pages along with a lot of other great goodies.

Thanks for stopping by!

Triangles

I don't know why I have had such a hard time keeping up with my blog lately. I'm back from vacation, we're in the school routine, but somehow I'm still not getting here. I think part of it is that since I was away so much last month, I didn't create as much and I don't have as much to share. BUT, that's going to  change. I have a bunch of things that I'll be able to show soon. So,I'm working on keeping up with this blog. LOL! Don't give up on me. ;)

I have my first back to school page to share today. Normally, I take a TON of first day pics, but this year it was POURING rain. I mean downpour, wind blowing, crazy weather. So, I didn't get as many shots as I like. But, I did get this one. ;)

We always walk Ryan up to the front door on the first day, and this year we did the same. Yes, we got soaked, but it was fun. I used several lines on here including Pink Paislee papers, Fancy Pants stickers and Fancy Pants banner chipboard.
I decided to use the triangle banner pieces as arrows pointing to my photo. I accented them with some wood veneer stars embossed with gold Zing powder. Get it? Gold stars on a school layout???
I layered some of Studio Calico mistable clouds on here, too. Seemed appropriate.

So, be sure to stop by again. I have a fun GDT gig that I'm doing and I'll be able to share more in a couple of days.

Also, there will be a Webster's Pages chat at A Cherry on Top this Wednesday at 9:00 pm EST.  Be sure to stop by to join in the fun!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day. :)

Royal Christmas Shipping Week!

Summer is technically still upon us, but that doesn't mean that you can't start thinking about Christmas! I've actually already bought a gift or two, believe it or not. And, I've  started creating some Christmas cards, as well.  I love giving them away at the holidays and now is the time to start making them. Luckily, Webster's gorgeous new holiday line is shipping this week. Check it out.

There is a giveaway going on, too. You can win the entire line! Check out the Webster's Blog to see how you can do it.

To illustrate how gorgeous this line is, I created a few cards with it.

I kept this first one pretty simple.  I embossed a panel of the cream paper and added one of the sentiment stickers. I blinged it out a bit with some Stickles.

The trims that go along with this line are so elegant and I used one of them for the background on this card.
Love the paper that has all of the holiday words on it, so I cut out JOY for my sentiment on this one.
The princess petals are so soft and pretty. I decided to go with a holiday theme for this card, though it could be used for other occasions, as well.

Again, I used one of the stickers as my sentiment. I love these! Not only are they perfect for cards, but they are great on layouts, too!

Be sure to stop by the WP blog all week for more inspiration. And share the word! You might just be designing your own Royal Christmas cards soon.

Thanks for stopping by. :)

I'm Still Here!

Well, it's back to reality for me! No more beach trips, no more lazy summer days.  Last week, Ryan started school. (Don't get me started on the whole 'we-have-to-start-before-Labor-Day-thing.) We took a long weekend with family at the beach and the day we left we had no power. Then, we got home and had no internet, phone or cable. Finally, got everything up and running today! However, my lack of computer, coupled with 5 days at the beach, left my blog sorely lacking. Oops...

Anyway, the winner of my Bazzil giveaway was Becky Garrison! Congrats, Becky. Your goodies are on their way. :)

One of the side effects of being away so much in August was that I hardly got any creating done. But, here is a page and card I did get accomplished using Webster's new Once Upon a Halloween line.

This page is about a bowling trip we took. I used a lot of chevrons on here.
The background was cut with my Silhouette.
And I had to add those adorable owls.
Not sure if you can see, but I punched some photo corners and made a tone on tone arrow border.
I used up some scraps to make this card.
One of the things I love is how you can use Once Upon a Halloween on non Halloween projects!

Thanks for stopping by. I promise I won't be gone as long this time. :)
