Monday, Monday...

Hooray, it's Monday!! I get to go back to work! No more vacation!! (Can you tell I'm trying to use reverse psychology on myself???) Having the past five days off has been wonderful. We had an awesome Thanksgiving and such a relaxing weekend. I went Black Friday shopping with my girlfriend which was also so much fun. Sigh...it's back to the grind this week.

I was able to get lots of scrapping done in the past few days. I can't wait to share the December Daily that I made! Hopefully, Cindy will have it on the Emma's blog soon and I can post it here.

I do have a couple of layouts, though. These were recently on the Prima blog. First up is this sweet one of Ryan a couple of years ago. I loved the little turkey he'd made in kindergarten and the headband he was wearing. It's hard to believe these photos were taken only two years ago. He's already grown and changed so much.

I used a piece of Road Trip paper for the background, a Fairy Flora Notecard behind the main photo, some Autumn Leaves and some pearls. Then, I created a frame with the pom-pom felt.

This next page is of my sister in law, Patty and my BIL. They just recently celebrated their 25th anniversary and I made this for them. I printed the photo on patterned paper.

I used one of the felt gates to frame the photo. I peeled off the adhesive on the back and added glitter.

I ended up putting the layout in frame for them. At first, I found that it didn't fit, because of the dimension with the flowers. So, I took the flowers off, placed it in the frame and then adhered the flowers right onto the glass. It ended up looking pretty cool that way!

That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's one of my favorite days of the year! Thanksgiving has finally arrived. I just love this day. Being surounded by family and eating are two of my favorite things. So this holiday is just perfect. I'm so blessed in many ways and truly thank God for my family, friends and my life.

One of the things that I'm really thankful for is having a hobby that I'm so passionate about. Working with the companies and manufacturers that I do is such a joy. My big excitement today is that I am being featured on the Prima blog. It's my Designer Day! Each Thursday a different member of the design team is featured. It's been so fun getting to know all of the girls a bit better. I hope you'll stop over and read my post (and maybe leave a comment). I have several projects up there, too.

Speaking of projects, I made a few things yesterday. I was off and spent the day in my pajamas. It was great! I decided to put aside my assignments and create some things just for fun. First off is this card that I did for the Color Room. The colors were some of my favorites and I decided to go with a non-traditional holiday theme.

I used Melissa Frances papers, a Bazzil chipboard snowflake that I painted and added glitter to, some SEI ribbon and a MME tag. I made some glass glittered stars yesterday and added them, too. Just felt like doing something glitzy and glittery.

My next card is for a new challenge that I've come across. Monda Pendleton is one of my favorite card makers and she has a fun color challenge, so I decided to play along. Here is the beautiful inspiration:

I decided to combine Mona's color challenge with the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch of the week. I love Kazan and Laura's sketches and haven't played along in a while, so I was excited to have the chance to do so!

Anyway, here is my interepretation:

The base of the card is a Making Memories journaling notebook page. The kraft part of the card is what opens up. I used My Mind's Eye die cuts and paper and a Melissa Frances chipboard snowflake.

If you are American, I hope you find yourself surrounded by those you love today. Enjoy the turkey and all of the trimmings!

Thanks for stopping by. I'm so thankful that you do. Your comments put a smile on my face! Have a wonderful day!

Webster's Week of Winter Wonderland

Last night's Webster's Pages chat was so inspiring. Brandin announced that there will be a new late season release called Spring Market AND that Webster's is going to be releasing flowers. Be still my heart. First stamps and now flowers. :)

Here are a couple of new things that I've done recently. This first card was in Paper Crafts Card Creations. I used a Life's Portrait die cut paper and a fun bloomer on it along with a Pink Paislee die cut and Melissa Frances chipboard heart.

This next card uses Hollywood Vogue papers and a flower from the matching bouquet. I added some ruffled fabric ribbon, too.

The sentiment is Melissa Frances.

Finally, I'm so excited to share that we are going to be doing a fabulous week long celebration at Inspire Me!

If you participated in the crop last year, then you know how fun this is. This year we have lots of events going on. You can go HERE to see the schedule. To sum things up, during the week of December 6-12 there will be classes posted daily. Each DT member created a class using Waiting for Santa or Sweet Season. Additionally, there will be a blog hop with projects using the incredible new stamps and lots of prizes and giveaways. I really hope you'll join in. I absolutely LOOOOOVE the project I created for my class. It will be posted on December 9. I made a set of tags. Here's a peek at my project:

I'm so excited for Thanksgiving. Ryan and I are both off tomorrow so we'll be getting ready for our family's celebration. Stop by on Thanksgiving, if you're doing some blog hopping after the big dinner. I'll have some fun news. :)

Have a great day!

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like....

I can't believe Christmas is only about a month away. I've been trying to get started on my shopping and I SWEAR this is the year that I'm going to stay on top of everything. LOL! We'll see if that actually happens.

I've been creating some Christmas-y things and thought I'd share a couple of them with you.

This first project is one I did for Emma's this week. We made gift card holders. Mine is a little pillow box to pop the card into and a matching card. I used the new Melissa Frances line along with gold stickers from Making Memories. I love the vintage stickers.

Next up is a little lunch box tin filled with tags. The papers are from Echo Park. I used a Maya Road tin. I think some chipboard came in it. I thought this would be a fun teacher gift.

I'm really looking forward to this week. I'm only working on Monday and Tuesday and I'm so excited to be home with Ryan and spend time with the family later on in the week. I'm definitely thankful that we don't have to run around like crazy people. We don't have anything after school, no homework and no other commitments. Just the way I like it. :)

Hope your week will be as nice! Thanks for stopping by.

Prima - Scrap Eachother Challenge

You have to check out the Prima blog! We got together and scrapped each other. Trina McClune organized everything, so none of us knew who we were going to be scrapped by. I was thrilled that my photo was done by Trina! I love her work. I got to scrap Alyssa McGrew. Here's the page I did:

I used some of older papers - the Shabby Chic and Watercolor Rainbow lines along with some of the new Jack and Jill papers.

I also added some glitter to the felt vines and clustered a bunch of flowers. It's not often that I get to scrap a purely girly page, so I went all out. :)

BE sure to check out the Prima blog to see the other girls' pages. YOu won't be disappointed!

Also wanted to let you know that Prima is having a Parking Lot Sale. Or, if you're like me and live nowhere near Califonia, they're having a Virtual Warehouse Sale.
(There are 6 goodie boxes to choose from and they are all listed here:
Warehouse Sale Info.)

Promo code is: POM
You get a free 6x6 paper pad from the newest release!)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Vintage Street Market

So, I can finally reveal the projects I made with the Vintage Street Market's fun kits!
First, here is the link to the Victorian Christmas kit that I used. You're going to love it!

My projects are at the Vintage Street Market site under the Designer tab. I went into detail on how I made each of them there. So, if you're curious, you can check it out...

This fist one is a doorhanging that I made. I love the mix of crepe paper and sheet music.

This next project is a tag that uses lots of little goodies - stickers, button, tinsel, etc. - from the kit.

Next up is a card. I 'filled' the little stocking with lots of goodies. Isn't that foil sticker sweet? There are more of those at VSM!

I created this little gift bag using some of the Basic Grey and Making Memories paper from the kit. I loved the key and thought it would be a fun addition.

This last project is my favorite. I recently found pictures of my brother and me from Christmas 1969. So, I used them to make this album that I will give him this year. I loved all of the vintage papers that were included in the kit, so I used them as the base of my album.

So, definitely check out this awesome new site. Michelle is going to be uploading new things regularly and I have a feeling we'll be seeing lots of fun things from them!

Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Street Market: Sneaks

I've been excited to share this one! I was asked to be the second ever Guest Designer for Vintage Street Market. VSM is putting together the most adorable vintage kits for scrapbookers and paper crafters. The talented Vicki Chrisman got to work with the first two kits they put out. One is Halloween themed and other is a circus one. Her designs were AMAZING! And I got to play with the Christmas one. If you love vintage, you HAVE to check these out. They are filled with they yummiest little treats - sheet music, vintage trims, little buttons, stickers, etc. I had so much fun creating my projects.

Speaking of projects, they should be up by Tuesday. Check out the Vintage Street Market site and click on the Guest Designer tab. But, in the meantime, I have some sneaks for you!

I told you you'd love all of the little goodies in the kit!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and pop back on Tuesday so you can see the full reveal!

Have a great day!

Boys Will Be Boys

Ever try to get a photo of a group of seven year old boys? Well, I have. And this is how it turned out.

Ryan and our two good buddies were having so much fun. Trying to get them to sit still and smile was definitely a challenge. But, I love how the pictures on this page turned out, so I decided to dedicate a page just to them. Eventually, I got a couple of good shots. Here's my favorite:

I used a lot of Webster's Page's Wonderfall collection on here. It's perfect for those boy pages!

Speaking of Webster's. Be sure to stop by the blog to see Brandin's Challenge this week. She has to scraplift a page. Be sure to leave a comment on her post so that you can be entered to win a prize package. She posts every Sunday.

That's all for now. Gotta go make lunches for tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by!

Prima BAP

Happy Monday. Hope you had a great weekend. Things were busy around here, but I was able to get caught up on lots of things. Gotta love when that happens. Having that extra hour was wonderful. I could use it EVERY day.

Prima's November Build a Page challenge is up. As always, the DT outdid themselves on the samples. I am already getting into the holiday spirit, so I made a page about making Christmas cookies.

That top photo of Ryan looks wonky, I think it's the shadow or reflection in the photo I took of the page...doesn't look like that in real life.

Anyway, I used a piece of the Road trip line for the paper and added some Poinsettia flowers, a Caravan flower and a glittered vine that I cut up.

Be sure to stop by the Prima blog and check out the sketch and designs.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. :)

CCG 165

Hooray, it's Friday! This week flew by. I think we should have every Tuesday off. It really made for a nice week. :)

Color Combos Galore 165 is live. I just ADORE this week's colors. Perfect for my shabby style. Here's the card I created.

I used Webster's Waiting for Santa line. It's perfect for non-Christmas projects, too. I love the colors in this line.

I used a Prima flower and some Papertrey stamps. The yellow trim is Webster's and the crochet trim is vintage.

Here is the inspiration board. Stop by the CCG Site to see the rest of the release and to play along.

I also wanted to share this card that was on the Prima blog last week. I made it for Halloween.

I used Paisley Road papers, which are perfect for Fall or Halloween. To make the notecard label, I cut it in half. Then I cut the center part out of one half so only the 'frame' was left. I adhered it to the other half and it made a smaller label.

Also, I colored the alpha stickers with a black marker. They were originally brown.

So, that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Webster's Pages Contest

It's Election Day! If you live in the US, be sure to get out and vote. I, for one, will be so glad when it's over. I'm so sick of the flyers, the phone calls, the nasty commercials. It's ridiculous!! I got 8 flyers in yesterdays mail. What a waste of paper.

So excited to be off from work today. The University is actually closed! I've got a million errands to do, and of course I have to go and vote. I'm hoping the people of Delaware put on their common sense hats when they walk in that voting booth. If a certain unnamed woman wins the senate seat, I'm moving to Pennsylvania!!

Enough political talk, though, I have some fun news to share. Two Peas is hosting a Webster's Challenge! Submit a project there and you could win one of three prize packages. The grand prize is worth $150!! Plus, there is a free gift with purchase as well. You can find the details HERE.

Here is my latest Webster's project. I made this layout to lift our Guest Designer, Susan Lui.

I finally got to use the new bouquets and I'm in love!! I also used some of the new mini die cut papers for framing the main photo.

Also, I made some flowers out of paper. I punched 4 flowers for each, folded them up and adhered them to a punched circle.

This page is about how grouchy Ryan gets sometimes. This picture was actually taken in Disneyworld. Who would have thought!! (OK, to be fair, it was about 95 degrees and we'd been out all day.)

Well, that's it for today. Be sure to check out the Two Peas contest.

Have a great day. :) And don't forget to vote!!
