Love Shack, Baby!

Thanks so much for all of the sweet comments on my post below! I'm definitely excited to be the Guest Designer for Bo Bunny this month. The Love Shack line is awesome!

Here are a few of the projects that I created with it. This first one is a card. I applied the rubons to the patterned paper, cut them out and adhered them with foam adhesive for some dimension.




Did you know that this week is Teacher Appreciation week? Our PTA is doing nice things for the teachers all week long. I thought this would be a fun set to give his teacher at the end of the week. Not sure what to fill it with, yet. Maybe some jellybeans or some kisses...




The last project I have for today is a layout about one of my FAVORITE summertime treats, caramel corn. As you know, I love the beach. We frequently visit Sea Isle, New Jersey. There's a store there called James' Candy. And they have the BEST caramel corn in the world. Fran and I used to go there all the time in our pre-Ryan days. And now we've indoctrinated him into loving it, too.






I used a lot of the Bo Bunny chipboard on this page. The large scalloped piece is actually the last page in one of the cascade mini albums. I painted it, along with the swirl and the letters.

So, as you can see, the Love Shack line is amazing. It's so versatile and the colors are beautiful. I'll be posting a few more things that I made with it on Wednesday. And to celebrate how generous Bo Bunny was with me, I'm going to share the love. Glad You Hopped On By!

I'm so excited to share some fun news! I was asked to be May's Guest Deigner for Bo Bunny! I've been busy playing with their gorgeous Love Shack line. The colors and designs are so bright and vibrant and it's been so much fun to use. My projects are going to be posted on their blog on Monday, but here's a little peek at one of them. I made this card using some of the Love Shack papers, some chipboard, buttons and ribbon. The buttons came in the cutest magnetic containers. (Can't wait to show you what I did with one of them!)
I painted and glittered the chipboard and let it hang over the top of the card.




I'm so excited to share the rest of my projects, but you'll have to wait until Monday.

Part of my 'job' as GDT is to tell you a bit about me. In case you don't already 'know' me, I'm a self-proclaimed paper crafting addict. I love to make layouts, cards AND projects. And I'm even getting more into stamping these days! My favorite season is summer and I think that's why I was so drawn to the Love Shack line. (BTW, I have the song running through my head every time I write it. 'Love Shack, baby, that's where it's at...tin roof..rusted...') I grew up on Long Island and spent MANY hours waterskiing on our boat and hanging out at the beach. The beach is still my favorite place to be. Living in Delaware, it's a bit of a drive now, but I can still be there within a couple of hours if needed. I created a fun mini album about one of our beach trips using one of the Bo Bunny acrylic albums. It will be posted on Monday.

I also have a couple of cards that I made using this week's 2 Sketches 4 You sketches. This card is the one I did using Kazan's sketch #25. I love stars, so this one was so fun to do.



The paper is from Webster's new 'The Sweet Life' line and the crystals are Zva.

This next card is based on Savitri's bonus sketch.




The papers are Chatterbox and Pink Paislee. The chipboard is Pink Paislee and the flowers, brad and gems are Zva.

Webster's Challenge

This layout was my contribution. I'm certainly not a graphic designer, but I created something that didn't have lots of hand cutting and tons of layering.

Blog Hop Time!!!

Are you ready for one rockin' good time? Well, you've come to the right place. As you may know, Paper Crafts is celebrating the release of the 225 Cards and Projects issue.




My cover project for the issue was made with a strawberry container. Today, I have another repurposed project for you. Not too long ago I received my first set of Papertrey Ink stamps. Aside from loving the stamps, I loved the boxes they came in. I knew I couldn't throw them out. So, I've been decorating them and using them as gift boxes. This one uses PTI cardstock, bitty dot paper, ribbon, stamps and ink.





This particular box was given to my niece for her birthday. I wrapped a necklace set in tissue and tucked it inside the box with a card. She LOVED it. I'm always so happy when people enjoy receiving my handmade goodies. ;)

Moxie Fab and Got Sketch

Well, I have a couple of exciting things to share with you today. First, I was invited by the talented Valerie Salmon to be a part of the 2 year Anniversary celebration over at "Got Sketch". Label Tulip2 and CPS

What a gorgeous weekend we had. It was perfect...mid 70s, no humidity and lots of sunshine. We played outside for hours! I even started some weeding, ugh. But, it wasn't so bad given how nice it was. Today? Not so much. We're back to rain and it's only about 49. Oh well. I guess that's spring for ya'.

Today I have the rest of my Label Tulip projects to share with you. I saved my favorites for last. This first page is of Ryan and my friend's DD. They've know each other since birth. They truly crack each other up. I created the background paper using Hambly rubons. The paper is Sassafrass and the trim is Prima. I painted the chipboard and stickers and added the glitter.





This card was made with the stamp that came in the add on kit. LOVE it. I already have a bunch of other ideas for how I want to use it.




And then there's this one. Are these the cutest pictures EVER or what??? Ryan's class hatched chicks, so we had to go and take pictures one day after school. I used some Pink Paislee and Lilly Bee papers on here. The rubons are all PP and I hand stitched the heart.





This next card is based on this week's CPS sketch. Too fun! I felt like doing some nice bright colors. I used Me and My Big Ideas papers and stickers on here along with a Maya Road sheer and Papertrey stamp.




Finally, I'm excited to share that I was invited to join Zva Creative's team. Holy Moly, if you LOVE crystals as much as I do, you have to check them out. As you know, I put crystals or flowers on just about everything I do, so I'm really excited to be working with them. You'll be seeing lots of their products on pages and cards soon. ;)

Label Tulip Projects

I had so much fun making my projects this month! The April kit is to die for!! Check it out HERE. Cathy puts together just the right mix of papers and goodies.

This first project uses a picture of Ryan that I've had for a while. I've been seeing this face more and more lately. Ugh. Just had to create a page about it.



This next one was our Member Lift for the month. I lifted the talented Anna Sigga. You can see her layout along with what the team did HERE.

I peeled off the back of the chipboard and added glitter to it. It holds the glitter wonderfully.




I'll leave you with this last card. I used PP paper and chipboard, a Hambly rubon and Prima pearl swirl.
