Still Full...

I'm still feeling full from Thanksgiving dinner! My sister in law and niece hosted a wonderful celebration. We ate and ate and then ate some more. And the desserts...MMM!!!

So, here are acouple of sweets that don't have ANY calories. Hee hee.
This first card is one I did using Webster's. It uses one of my favorite quotes. I used some vintage sheet music on it and hand cut the flowers.

This next one uses the awesome Sweet Cakes line from Pink Paislee. I'm just in love with these colors! This card is based on the Bonus Sketch at 2S4Y. I added some Jenni Bowlin crepe paper ribbon behind the chipboard. I think this may be my new favorite stuff!

Hope you're all doing something fun this weekend. We are heading out to make gingerbread houses with my girlfriend! I'm hoping to do a bit of Christmas decorating, too.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Just a quick post to say Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that all of you U.S. girls have a joyous celebration today. May your time with family and friends be filled with happiness, gratitude and peace.

Just wanted to share a couple of quick cards today. This is the card I did for this week's CPS sketch. I used some My Mind's Eye papers, a Creative Imaginations transparency, some Prima flowers and jewels and a ribbon from my stash.

And what would Thanksgiving be without a Thanksgiving card. Here's one using lots of Queen and Company felt and pearls.

Finally, I leave you with a quote that I found, of all places, in the comics section of the newspaper this week.

"We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures."

I hope you are feeling as blessed for your treasures today as I am for mine.
Happy Thanksgiving. :)

2S4Y and MMM

Hi!
As you know, Tuesday is my MMM Blog day. This week I went a little crazy ( ;) ) and did a digital page. I love looking at all of the digi elements that are out there. I fell in love with these two kits and since I had some Fall photos to scrap, decided to give it a try.

I got these kits at Amy Hutchinson's store After Five Designs. They have the cutest things there!

To see what I did with these kits, head on over to the MMM blog. ;)

This week's 2S4Y sketch is by Kazan and I just love it!! Here's my card. I had a hard time getting a picture of it this morning because it's so rainy here. But, you get the idea. It's a lot more sparkly IRL. ;) I used K and Company paper and rubons,Hambly transparency, a Prima flower and brad, Doodlebug sugared brads and Basic Grey stamps.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great day. ;)

Folded Flowers and Silver Glitter

I'm really into these folded flowers right now. Here is another example using them. This frame was one that I made for the Pink Paislee blog the other day. You can see the tutorial I did for how to make them here.

We had a busy weekend. Today we went and saw the movie Bolt. It was absolutely adorable!!!!!

We saw Madagascar 2 last weekend. While it was funny, it just didn't have the same 'Awwwwwwww" factor that Bolt had. Disney really knows how to make you fall in love with their characters.

Finally, here's one that just came out in Papercrafts. It's an ornament gift card holder. The top part pulls out to reveal the gift card.

So, that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by!!!

CPS 91

This is my card for the CPS sketch this week. Although I'm not officially on the team anymore, I'll always be a CPS girl at heart. I'm so excited that I was able to play along this week. Here's my card.

And here is a card I did for Emma's this week. Our challenge was to create a holiday project using some stitching. I used the gorgeous Pink Paislee Tinsel Town line. Love it. ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Ambrosia

I finally dug into my stash of BG Ambrosia. Wow, I absolutely adore this line. The colors are so striking and I love the chipboard pieces that go along with it. I created a couple of things to share with you.

First, here is a sneak peek of my MMM Blog layout for today.

You can see the rest of it at the MMM Blog.

My next sneak is a Thanksgiving project I did for Queen and Company. It's a chair ornament/placecard for the dinner table. The directions and more photos are all at the Queen and Company blog.

This next card uses the Ambrosia line, Ambrosia chipboard and some Fancy Pants paper. I cut the back of the chipboard packaging to make the background of the card. If you look closely, you'll see that the paper is the images of the chipboard that came in the pack!

Finally, here is the card I did this week for Laura's sketch at 2Sketches4You. I used the Ambrosia line along with some felt and vintage trim I found in an antique shop. The polka dot paper is Fancy Pants.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Layouts and a Giveaway

Happy Friday! Just wanted to post a couple of quick things today. Here are a couple of layouts that I did this week. This first one is of my sister-in-law's new puppy, Jasper. I love these Jenni Bowlin papers! Lots of layering on here.

This next page documents Ryan's favorite things right now at age 5 and a half. I used lots of Sassafrass Lass on here. I never knew what to do with these papers before, so I thought I'd try something new. It's a bit different for me, but I liked it. I layered some 7 Gypsies tags behind the photo.

Finally, it was my turn on the Pursuit of Craftyness blog yesterday. I did a post about using Vintage Images. Here's a quick little card that I made using a fun image I found online.

Check out the POC blog for more ideas and lots of resources. I have a giveaway going on. Leave a comment there and you could win this:

You have until midnight on Saturday, Nov,15 to do so.
