Cindy posted our March color challenge project on the Emma's Blog this week. We all did projects based on a lovely photo that has lots of apple green in it. Here's what I came up with:
I pulled out some of my Creative Imaginations banana leaf paper and used it for the background and butterflies. Then I added some Prima butterflies, a hambly transprency, a star covered with german glitter glass and a tag stamped with a Kaisercraft stamp. It was really fun to layer on all of the goodies.
Check out what the rest of the team did. And if you're inclined, play along with the challenge!
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by!
PS- We are going to be in Seattle this summer. Any suggestions for fun things to do. Aside from seeing the original Starbucks, I have no idea what I want to see!
Such a beautiful card! Love the flower and glitter!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card, Anabelle! I just love that color, love how you used it here mixed with the white and the silver of the glass glitter. All the detail is just wonderful. that Hambly transparency really catches my eye. :)
ReplyDeleteSeattle: Pike Place Market, The Space Needle, Experience Music Project Museum is OK (probably better if you're a serious music lover). I've heard good things about the Tacoma Museum of Glass but have never been there. It's a beautiful city, especially on a sunny day. I'm sure there are some natural scenic areas, parks, etc. around there... Mt. Ranier, Lake Washington, Puget Sound. Take hiking shoes. And have fun. The Pacific Northwest is a wonderful place! (Gorgeous card, by the way!)
ReplyDeletegorgeous card Annabelle!

Oh wow, what a gorgeous card. I love this fresh colour combo and you did a great job with it on this card.
ReplyDeletealways love your stuff Anabelle. The colors on this are just lovely.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely check out Pike Place Market. Try and do the Space Needle about an hour before sunset (the lines can be long, but sunset views are amazing). Fremont is fun and has cute funky shops and good food. And visiting the troll is always fun for kiddos. Hope you have a great time. :)
I love this card! Wasn't Seattle where they filmed the first Twilight? Maybe you can visit Forks!

ReplyDeleteYou definitely need to go to Pike Place market...it's amazing! Ivar's is right downtown and a wonderful place to enjoy a great seafood dinner. We also visited the aquarium while we were there, very cool! Have fun! I hope to go back again soon as well :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I forgot to mention, there is a rubber stamp/scrapbook store downtown and I am not for sure of the name....but they had a lot of neat stuff. I even picked up a Space Needle stamp!
