Vintage Fun

I normally get the Sunday Night Blues, thinking about getting back to work and school on Monday mornings, but tonight I'm doing the happy dance. We are home for Presidents Day. Yipee!! So, tonight I'm doing some cooking, some scrapping and some coupon clipping. My favorites. (Yeah, I have an exciting life, LOL!)

Did I mention that I'm the owner of a new iPad? I'm loving it so far! If you have one, do you have any aps (sp? -I've never written that word before!) to recommend?

Just wanted to share a fun project I did for Emma's last week. Our theme was vintage, so I went with a fun envelope card and tag set.

I used a Maya Road envelope and some Melissa Frances and Graphic 45 papers. The flowers are Prima and the berries and trim are Websters. And the scrunched seem binding is from Kimberly Tracy.

The adorable images are from Tim Holtz'Ideaology Seasonal Salvage Stickers. Aren't those vintage bunnies adorable? I'm so looking forward to spring and Easter this year. Can you tell?

So, that's pretty much it for today. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh you are going to have so much fun on your iPad! I love mine. If you use a reader to browse blogs, I recommend an app called Flipboard. It's a way of reading all your blog subscriptions in a newspaper-style format. I love it and that's how I just read your blog post.....through my Flipboard. Have fun!

  2. Oh la la, this is simply gorgeous! I really love your vintage style...and that rabbit image is so cute. I also like how you used the kraft envelope. I bought a lot of those too, they are so fun to use. Have fun with your iPad. I don't have one, but I'm sure you will love it:) Have you seen Anam Stubbington's apps? She released Sketches2Scrapbook and Sketches4Cards. I haven't seen the app yet (since I don't have an iPad myself;)), but they seem to be really awesome!

  9. So many fun apps - you'll love it! The App store that you launch from your iPad has "Top Free" "Top Paid" lists.. I regularly go through the list to check and read reviews. You can scroll through as well to get screen shots of the app. I rarely pay for apps.

Games: Cut the Rope, Angry Birds, Words with Friends (my fav- it's a scrabble game you can play with friends w/ iphones and ipads)

News: Every publication has an app by now. Really your preference.

Penultimate - you can create notebooks and you write/draw w/ your finger. It's cool!

I can't remember anymore - at work w/out my ipad. Getting good ideas from your other fans.
