I'm already getting excited for Christmas! Lisa's class is really setting the mood for me this year. I've pulled out all of my Christmasy scrapping supplies. I decided that I wanted to make my card for this weeks 2 Sketches 4 You sketch using some of the supplies I've used for the class this week. Here it is in all of it's golden glory. ;)
I started by creating the base with a Hambly transparency. Then I added some of my favorite old Foofala paper to the inside. The vintage postcard image is from a download that Lisa provided us. The ribbon is SEI, the felt is Queen and Co. and the bell and star are from Michael's. I added some stickles to the postcard for added shimmer.
Also, today is my day on the MMM blog. I posted a technique for doing glittered papers that I used on this layout. Here's a peek...
You can see the post here. (MMM Blog)
Finally, I'd like to thank all of those Veterans who have given themselves to the service of our country. While a simple thank you doesn't quite seem like enough, it's full of gratitude from the heart. My father, Albert Gervais was a Korean War vet. I'm thinking of him and so many others today. I hope you'll do the same. Happy Veteran's Day!
