Curly Flowers

My February issue of Paper Crafts arrived yesterday. I flipped through it and was amazed at the gorgeous stuff in it. Can't wait to sit down and have some time to read it in depth.

One of my favorite cards ever is in this issue. They had a call for using 'heat'. I ended up experimenting with heat embossing and came up with this:

I stamped the flourish stamp onto the silk flowers and then heat embossed them with some Ranger distressed embossing powder. The cool part was that as I was heating them, the flowers curled up and kind of got hard. I added the brads to them and glued them down. I really love the shabby look they took on with the embossing.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
