Welcome to the Webster's 2011 DT Blog Hop! I'm really excited to be back on the team for another year!! I've been with Webster's almost since the beginning and have been so lucky to be with them as they've grown into the amazing company that they are today. The Winter 2011 release is definitely my favorite so far. The papers, colors, textures and designs are beyond beautiful!! I had the priviledge of using the Ladies and Gents line the past couple of weeks to create projects for the booth at CHA and I'm sharing a couple of my favorite pages with you today.
But, before I do, I'll share something about myself:
1. I can say my style of scrapbooking is detailed, shabby and a bit vintage. Webster's Pages products suit my style perfectly!
2. I am paper and scissors kind of scrapper. My pages usually start with me handcutting lots of elements. After I've gotten lots of patterned paper onto my page, I go to town with the embellishments.
3. If I can only get two Webster's Pages products for a project I would choose the patterned paper and sparklers.
4. I find inspiration in the products. They guide what I'm going to do. I also love to browse Country Living and Better Homes and Gardens magazines for color inspirations.
5. I scrap in my pajamas at 5 am and if you were to come in my scrap room now you will find the morning news on TV. I love my early morning crafting time!
6. My most loved technique right now is adding glitter to anything!
Aside from that, I live with my hubby and my seven year old son. I love creating layouts AND cards! During the day, I teach in the early childhood department at the local university and work with child care centers to improve their programs. I love the fact that I teach preschoolers and college age kids!
Now for some new pages! This layout is my favorite one that I created with the new line. I used a wedding photo of my sweet friends who recently were married at the beach!
As you can see, there's lots of handcutting and layering. I punched several borders and layered them along the bottom. I added one of the tickets and some new flowers.
And check out the heart shape Thread! I mounted it on paper and embellished it with a new chipboard button and some rosettes.
But Ladies and Gents isn't only for feminine pages. On this one, I picked out the timepieces to make it more masculine.
I handcut the brown swirly motifs and added them behind the photo. Then, I added some new sparklers and bloomers.
I finished it off with one of the new fabric tickets and a doily thread. I can tell these are going to be my new favorite embellishments!!! I also used some new fabric ribbon which I pleated and stitched and layered under the photo.
Well, that's it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to leave a comment by January 31, 2011 at 12 midnight EST for a chance to win a set of all the new flowers that are being released at CHA. Comment on each DT member's blog for more chances to win! The winner will be announced at Inspire Me on February 3.
Now, hop on over to Jaz's blog for some more inspiration!
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Snowed In
Wow! We got a TON of snow last night. Schools are closed and even the University decided to close today. That worked out great for me, as I'm packing and getting ready to leave tomorrow. Wish me luck. I'm praying that the flights are back to normal in the morning. I can't wait to get to LA and am so excited to see my old friends and meet up with some new ones!
Just a couple of quick things to share today. I did this card for Emma's this week. I love the color combo. The papers are K and Co. Jubilee. The flower is Prima and the tulle is Glitz. I used Spellbinders Labels 8 to make the tags the flower's on.
This next project is another new one that I did for the Webster's booth using the Ladies and Gents line. That's me and Cindy from Emma's at Disneyland a couple of years ago at CHA.
I used the new flowers, bloomers, doily threads and chipboard buttons. The colors in this line are amazing.
Be sure to stop back on Saturday for the Webster's New DT blog hop. You can start at Iris Babao Uy's blog and follow along from there. Leaving a comment at each DT members blog will give you a greater chance at winning those new flowers.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Live With Prima
Now that the CHA rush is almost over, I can breathe again and start looking past the the pile of stuff on my table. I'm so excited to be leaving on Friday for four exhausting, exhilarating, laughter and fun filled days in LA with my girls Cindy and Jessica (from Emma's). I can't even tell you how psyched up I am. Poor Fran will be holding down the fort with a fractured tailbone. (Snowboarding injury...)But, I'm sure the boys will be fine.
I have a fun announcement. I was invited to be a guest designer with Live with Prima on February 15! I've never done anything like this before. The show will be live on Ustream and I'll be creating three Prima pages. The title of the class is Celebrate the Men in Our Lives-Masculine Layout Class I am kind of nervous, but really excited. The class is interactive, as there's a live chat going on. I'll have more specific details soon, but wanted to share some sneak peeks of the layouts I'll be doing. I hope some of you will stop by for moral support, LOL!!
All three pages are masculine themed ones and I've pulled together some fun Prima products that complement the themes.
I thought I'd leave you with one more page. This one was on the Emma's blog recently.
I used a bunch of Anna Griffin papers and stickers on here. It's so pretty and gold IRL. It was hard to capture that in the photo.
I punched the edges of the papers and did a lot of layering.
Then, I added some Prima crystal swirls. They reminded me of the blowing snow.
Be sure to check back soon, as I'll have some Vintage Street Market sneak peeks for you. Don't forget to check the VSM blog for sneaks, too.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

WPDT 2011!!
I am so thrilled! I received an email inviting me to return to the Webster's Pages design team for 2011. I'm so honored to be asked back and am really excited for all of the great things happening with them this year. When I think about how far the company has come over the past several years, I'm just awestruck. It has been a wonderful ride and I'm thrilled to continue on this journey with them. Thanks you, Websters!!!
Speaking of beautiful products, I've been really enjoying working with the new Ladies and Gents line and have been creating projects for the CHA booth. The embellishments are so gorgeous. Here's a peek at what I've been doing.
Aren't the colors amazing?
How about that heart?
I'm loving the new bloomers, chipboard buttons, and flowers!
See anything you like?? LOL!! These embellishments are just fabulous.
If you haven't yet done so, head over to Inspire Me to see the sneaks of all the lines and the new embellishments.
One more fun announcement. The card I made for the Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz is being featured on the Moxie Fab World Blog today. I'm so excited about that!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Prima Peeks
MY CARD FOR THE WALTZINGMOUSE BLOG WALTZ CAN BE FOUND IN THE NEXT POST. THANKS
___________________________________
If you haven't been following along, Prima has been showing some amazing new products on their blog. Everything is absolutely gorgeous!!! I have a really fun project to share with you today.
I made this wedding cake using the new Valenciennes trim. It's the satin and sequinned ribbon trim that is wrapped around the top layer. The flowers are all new, too, as are the gems and flowers.
To make the cake, I just added papers from the new Botanical line to three paper mache boxes. (I adore the new line because it has so many soft, lovely colors - right up my alley!) Then I went to town embellishing it.
Here is the whole collection:
Definitely check back in the next couple of days. I'm finishing up some projects for the Webster's CHA booth and I'll have peeks of the new papers and embellishments. They are to die for!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day. :)

Waltzingmouse Blog Hop
I'm so excited to be participating in my first Waltzingmouse Blog Hop. I have been a fan of Caire's stamps for a while and finally got my first order. They are awesome!!
The theme of this month's hop is Valentine's/Love. I decided to go with pink and cream.
I used paper from the Postcards from Paris and Winter's Wings collections (Webster's Pages). The stamps are from the Holiday Labels #14 and Season's of Love Tags sets.
I stamped the label with Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The crinkled seam binding is from Kimberly Tracy (Raspberry Truffle) and the sparklers are also Websters.
Thanks so much for stopping by and for taking a peek.
Have a great day!

Prima Vintage Trinkets
Prima has come out with a brand new product and I'm in LOVE! They have released some charms and trinkets that are gorgeous. I've had so much fun playing with them. This next project is probably one of my all time favorites that I've done. I love how it turned out!
First, let me share how ugly the frame was before I got my hands on it.
I bought several of these at a thrift shop for a quarter a piece. My girlfriend was with me and couldn't see what on earth I was going to do with them. I told her I had the vision. LOL.
So, I painted it with cream painted and highlighted it with Lumiere Pearl White. Then I added some paper and created the tag. I used all new Prima goodies on here, but the trinkets were my favorite part. They are brass colored, so I painted them with the some paints and added a bit of ink to give them a shabby look.
I also added a bit of paint to the trim, which tied it in nicely.
Here's a keychain I made using the trinkets in their 'natural' state.
Be sure to check the Prima blog daily. There are so many awesome sneak peeks going on and the team has been cranking out gorgeous projects!

CR84FN #7, Shabby Tea Room and Webster's Challenge
So, as you may know, I've been busy creating a bunch of CHA projects. Yesterday we had a snow day and I had some extra time so I decided to create a project just for fun. It definitely helps the creative juices flow when I stop to do that. I decided to have this card fit several challenges.
First, the colors are based of CR4FN10. Love this photo.
I used the sketch at the Shabby Tea Room for inspiration. I decided to flip it to the left and have the stripe running along the bottom.
See that yummy bow? I made it using some new scrunched seam binding I reaceived from Kimberly Tracy. She has the most gorgeous colors for sale at her site! You can see all 29 colors HERE. I'm sure you'll be seeing more of it on my blog soon.
Another awesome product I used to make this was my new Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro. I received it recently and LOVE it. I used the Perma-Tac on it. This is definitely my new favorite adhesive!
Finally, this card was made for the January Challenge at Inspire Me. The challenge was to create a thank you card for the 2010 Design Team. The new team will be announced soon and they wanted to celebrate the success of this year's group. I've loved working with this wonderful group of ladies. (And hope to continue to do so!)I used the mini papers from several lines and cut the center frame from a Life's Portrait journaling card.
So, that's it. One card that fulfilled lots of challenges!

Vintage Street Market
I'm so excited! A couple of months ago I shared some fun projects I made using Vintage Street Market's awesome kits. Well, what I didn't get to share was that Michelle and Allison are also launching a brand new line of products to go along with the vintage items they already sell. And they asked me to be a part of their design team! I'm just thrilled, as you know how much I love vintage goodies. I'm going to be working with some awesomely talented ladies. (see my side bar) The lines they have created are wonderful. Sneak peeks have started on the VSM Blog. But, I'm going to share one here for you:
Isn't that adorable? I love the image and I adore the colors. I can't wait until you see the full reveal!
Be sure to check out the VSM site HERE for a giveaway. You could win a prize package that includes theh new CHA releases!
There's another giveaway going on at the VSM Facebook page. Simply tell your friends about VSM and have them post that you referred them! Then, you'll be entered into a giveaway, too.
Be sure to check the page frequently as new peeks will be going up all week. There will be more giveaways announced next week, too!
As soon as I can, I'll share some of my projects with you. The team will be posting projects to the blog starting next week. I can't wait to see all of the goodies everyone comes up with.
Finally, I'll leave you with my card for Emma's this week. I used some fun K and Company transparencies, a Jenni Bowlin Butterfly, Prima flowers and doily and Basic Grey brad.

Happy Sunday!
I was so excited to have a full day to myself to scrap and have pure quiet all around me. Fran took Ryan on a cub scout camping trip yesterday. They were staying on the Battleship New Jersey in Philadelphia. The plan was that they'd sleep over on the ship and then head to my in-laws today. Well, as I was scrapping my heart out last night I got a call that they had to ABANDON SHIP! What the.....???? Turns out the ship lost power and they had to all leave at midnight! So, while I was happy to see my buddies, I'm so sad that my day today won't be one of self-indulgence for me!!!
I did get a lot accomplished last night. I made several projects with my new Prima goodies. The products are going to be revealed starting tomorrow. You won't be disappointed!!
They did post the January PPP and color palette on Friday and it revealed several new goodies. Here's a card I did for it using a new crocheted flower and the new crystal/lace borders. I think I've used those borders on every layout I did! I love them.
This next page is my take on January's BAP. I love the sketch and thought it was perfect for this photo of my mom, Ryan and me. It was taken outside of our church on the day he made his first Reconcilliation. I used some Fairy Flora papers, a vine and some felt that I added gold glitter to.
Don't forget to stop by the Prima blog this week. There will be plenty of eye candy!
Thanks for visiting today!

Webster's Hybrid
I woke up to some fun news this morning. My glittery card in the post below was selected a winner on the Moxie Fab World blog! I was so excited! This was my first time playing along, so glad I did! Thanks, Cath!!!
So, I'm just loving the digital elements that Webster's has been releasing! They are so fun to use. This page uses several elements. I recolored and resized them to create the frames that around the photos.
This is Ryan and me during one of our baking excursions. I love to bake and he loves to eat, so we're a perfect pair. (I love to eat, too, but I have to refrain. Especially now that I ate my way through the holidays!)
I used Sweet Season on this one. I love this line so much! Isn't that cupcake stand the best??? I added some Stickles to it to make it look super sparkly.
Well, that's it for today! I'm off from work and my Prima CHA goodies are calling my name. This time of year is so exciting, but filled with lots of work. Off I go. Be sure to stop by the Prima blog. A little birdie told me that sneak peeks are staring soon. And BELIEVE me, you won't want to miss them!! I think this is my favorite Prima release ever!!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. :)

Happy New Year!!
Just wanted to pop on and wish you all a peaceful, blessed and Happy 2011! Every year I try to pick one word that will be my reminder for what I want to do/accomplish. Sadly, I was trying to remember what my word was for last year and I couldn't! So I went back through my blog and figured out it was 'Nourish'. Turns out, I must have subliminally remembered it! This was the year I went back to the gym and worked out regularly. I also started my Nutritional Cleansing program and lost ten pounds. I nourished my relationships and my soul, too. So, as I look toward this year, I think I'm going to choose the word, Savor. I have so many things to be thankful for and I want to remind myself to savor all of them. Ryan is growing up so quickly and I want to savor my time with him. I want to savor the goodness in my friendships, the love of my family and savor my love of paper crafting. So, overall, I think this word will work for me!
Finally, I'll leave you with a card I made.
I used Prima's Paisley Road line on it. The horn was made by rollilng a little cone. I used a Say It In Crystals swirl for the stuff coming out of the horn. (What on earth would you call that? Spit is the only thing that came to mind...LOL!)
Thanks for stopping by and for all of your lovely comments! I appreciate your taking the time to read my little blog here.
Have a great New Year!!
