More Queen and Company

My absolute favorite product from Queen and Company's CHA release is the felt brads! They are just awesome! I love how they look projects. And the texture is so cool. Leave it to Wendy to think to combine felt and brads! Here are a couple of projects...

This card uses the brads in the primary set.

And here's an 8 by 8 layout using the neutral colored brads.

Do you see that shimmery background behind the K? I used some Lumiere paint. I love it! It gives a great sheen, very pearlescent (sp?). I've had it in my stash for a while and am so glad I pulled it out.

That's it for today. Have a great one!

Queen and Company Goodness.

I'm so excited to finally be able to post my Queen and Company projects! Wendy is coming out with more great felt this release and tons of new fun brads and jewels.

Check out everything here:
Queen and Company CHA Release

Here are a couple of my projects. The first one uses the new soccer and scrolls felt fusion. I also used some of the neutral gems. LOVE these. They are bigger now and come in some great colors and shapes!

(Ryan is still carrying around his trophy. He's so proud of it since it's the first one he's ever received!)

This layout uses Felt Frenzy shapes from the beach line. The fish are new felt fusion. I loved adding their eyes with the mini brads. There are all kinds of mini shapes being released. I think they will be lots of fun to use on cards, too!

Check back soon for more projects! Thanks for stopping by. ;)

Believe.

I did this a couple of weeks ago. It's one of my new favorite projects! ;) The picture is of my sisters in law, Betty and Anne when they were little. It's such a sweet photo! I just had to make something with it. I used Glimmer Mist, one of my new favorite products, on the chipboard letters. Most of the other stuff is Melissa Frances. Swooooooooooooon! I love everything from that company!

Faith. Kindness. Beauty.

One of the fun things about being a part of an online community is joining in on challenges. Well, this year I decided to take part in a scripture challenge that is being hosted by Patter Cross. There are many sites where people are posting their work, but I'm doing it at Create My Keepsake. (Here is the link to info. about the challenge.)I decided to do ATC cards for the challenge. Each week, Patter lists a word and the challenge is to find a relevant scripture passage and create an ATC, scrapbook page, or other project with that passage. It's been a lot of fun. One of my New Years Resolutions was to become more familiar with the bible and this is the perfect way to do it.

This is my card from Week One:

And here's the card from Week Two:

This week's word is Beauty. If you have a favorite scripture passage about beauty, or even a favorite quote, I'd love to hear it.

It's that Time of Year....

CHA Winter is on it's way. Between stuff I'm working on for that and a few other projects I've been wrapped up in this week, I don't have much I can share...yet. :( Hopefully soon, though. I feel like I've been creating non-stop! Which is a good thing. But I have so much more to do, and limited time to do it. Which is not a good thing! Anyone have any tricks for finding more hours in the day?

Anyway, here is my CPS card for the week. I used some Creative Cafe goodies along with Queen and CO. felt, Heidi Swapp hearts and a Creative Imaginations chipboard sentiment.

Lots of fun things are going to be happening at CPS. One being that they are going to be adding more designers to the team. Check it out!

Hope to have some more things to post soon! Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome weekend!

Mmm. Hot Cocoa

Well, it feels a bit more like winter. But I wish we'd get some snow! Everything looks so drab and dreary. A coating of white would really go a long way towards making it feel like January!

Here's a project that I made a while ago. It was published in Crafts N Things. The base is the bag that the Autumn Leaves buttons come in. I couldn't throw it away and it was perfect for this project. Just put some cocoa in the little pouch, add a cute mug and you have a great gift!

The papers are from the Paper Salon Smitten line. The stamps are Paper Salon, too. I also added some Stickles (love this stuff) for some glitz.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Is it Spring Yet?

We've been having some unseasonably warm weather. It's been great, but such a tease. I'm so ready for spring to be here, because that means that summer will be right behind it! I've been scrapping a buch of summer photos and I'm craving the hot weather, the pool and of course the beach. Can't share my layouts yet, but here are a couple of springy cards to get you into the mood!

Curly Flowers

My February issue of Paper Crafts arrived yesterday. I flipped through it and was amazed at the gorgeous stuff in it. Can't wait to sit down and have some time to read it in depth.

One of my favorite cards ever is in this issue. They had a call for using 'heat'. I ended up experimenting with heat embossing and came up with this:

I stamped the flourish stamp onto the silk flowers and then heat embossed them with some Ranger distressed embossing powder. The cool part was that as I was heating them, the flowers curled up and kind of got hard. I added the brads to them and glued them down. I really love the shabby look they took on with the embossing.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
